Today 3 March 2008
The latest W7MOT D-Star Updates
The MARCA Repeater Sites information is current, including D-Star frequencies and offsets. The repeater is currently
located and operational in the LAB. It is tentatively planned to be
moved to it permanent location on White Tanks, tentitively scheduled for Saturday 8 March. The plan is to install in phases, the first in a standalone
configuration (without gateway services), installation of the Internet Link, relocation of the Gateway servers, and finally connection with the Trust services.
The Band, Repeater Call, Frequency, and offset is listed below for each D-Star repeater:
A "W7MOT A" <data> 1283.90 -DUP
A "W7MOT A" <voice> 1299.50 Simplex
B "W7MOT B" 440.8125 +DUP
C "W7MOT C" 145.135 -DUP
The UHF and VHF repeaters are operational in the Lab and working on a external Dual Band Diamond DX-100 antenna. Because the LAB is located in a HOA zone, the height may vary from day to day 15" or 25'. At 25' the coverage is just above the tree line and is dependent on your elevation. Report are from the Motorola facility in Occotille to North Phoenix to Apache Junction. There are some none covered areas and may also vary due to your antenna.
Both of the 1.2G repeaters (data & voice) are cabled through the Triplexer and working into the 1.2G Diamond antenna at 10' above ground. Temporally for testing, the antenna was raised to 24'. The voice repeater was tested with two 1D radios. This arrangement was successful except for some intermittent long tree line path issues. Cross band operations from A to B, B to A, A to C, and C to A were also performed successfully.
You are welcome to use the repeaters for testing purposes.
